Big news today: I’ve gone and joined up at Patreon! (I’ll also be creating a video in the next day so you can watch rather than read!)
A bunch of people are now able to make a living with the help of their readers, viewers, and/or listeners!
But those are just fancy words for supporters, really. Supporters who believe in the artist or really love whatever the artist is creating enough to put in a dollar or two a month through the set-it-and-forget-it system over at Patreon.
What is Patreon then, exactly?
Remember Kickstarter or that Indiegogo campaign I ran to have some shirts printed up last year? That was a one-time project. Everyone that contributed helped make a big difference! However, that project is basically “over.” You helped get it off the ground and that’s all Indiegogo(and Kickstarter) are really for.
Patreon isn’t for one-time projects. It’s here to generate ongoing support(read: $$) for whatever an artist(like me) is creating!
By pledging $1 or more a month, you will directly support the creation of these comics which will help turn this into my dream job! And similar to those other crowdfunding sites, there’s rewards for you!
- – Read the comic early
- – Access to a full-size RSS feed(if you’re into that sort of thing)
- – Original Art
- – An experimental biannual comic book!
I know it will take a while before I can quit my day job, but if you really enjoy these comics, head over to my Patreon page and become my patron! I will thank you with many more hilarious comics until the authorities force me to stop.
As usual, thanks for reading!
