Thank you if you came by Fort Collins Comic Con this weekend(Aug 26/27 2017) – wife and I had a great time seeing everyone there again! Met a deeply hilarious couple that the husband used to be a syndicated cartoonist – that was what I wanted to be when I was little! And before I discovered how much fun it was to put swears in comics.
If you’ve been checking the site here lately, you should see that there’s new comics going up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I’m doing my best!
Denver Comic Con is a week away! I’ll be at table C3 and C5 in Artist Valley – I’ll put a map up soon, but I have more comics to make!
I am ALL done with conventions for this year. Comics can now pick up the pace and I can get back on track!
This was my first year doing more than one convention(I did THREE!) and I was NOT prepared haha
Next year will be different! I’ve revamped my set-up so things go faster and I decided to use the Square reader for all sales to track inventory and oh boy did it make things easier.
Thank you very much if you came by any of the booths I stood behind this year. I really REALLY enjoyed seeing you laugh at the strips I handed out!
If this were a 4-panel comic, the last one would be a newspaper headline with the friend being arrested on disemboweling charges. The Magic Toilet Handle gets away again.
This toilet handle ruined a guy’s day previously.
The bee one is actually said pretty often around here. I don’t know why I included it in the comic…
Speaking of animals doing inappropriate things, head over to my Patreon page to see a whole bunch of animals barfing! I know you’re into that, otherwise you wouldn’t be here.
It’s kind of like having a stroke.
Thanks for stopping by! One of these days I’ll get around to the denver comic con recap…
Having Bohemian Rhapsody stuck in my head gives me a killer headache.
In other news, Denver Comic Con is in 4 days! That’s why there was no comic last week, so to make up for it I made this double length strip!
I’ll be at booth A18 this Friday through Sunday with some pals. I do hope you’ll come visit! There will be more buttons and comic books than last year and all the hugs you can stand!
What kind of jerk would lie to kids about nachos? Call child services if you hear about something like this in your neighborhood.
Denver Comic Con is just a few weeks away! I hope you’ll come visit me there. I have a super secret comic strip that I’ll be handing out! I don’t have a booth number yet, but it’ll be here when I find out. Or there will be blood.
I sincerely apologize for how late this comic is. It was due a week ago for you, and I messed up because I was mopey and perfectionisty. It is finally done, though, and I am proud of it. The comic cracks me up; I hope it cracks you up, too.
I’ll do my best to make it up to you by creating another comic this week. It should be doable. The other big distraction is that I need to create 24 Illustrated Thesaurus comics in about a month. This is for the 2nd mini-comic of IT comics for Denver Comic Con. I really need you guys to get on my case and keep me honest. Plus, I need to make up for the 3 months I’ve been short of IT comics THIS YEAR! I am SO SORRY. I will get those created by the end of this year if it KILLS A HOBO.
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve shouted this at the wrong time.
Now that I think about it, every time has been the wrong time…
Thanks for stopping by! Check out the store or stop by the facebook fun page on your way out!
Oh my goodness! Comics have been away for a while, haven’t they? I do apologize for that. I’ve been doing some freelance work and been very busy with family affairs–it was the kiddo’s 2nd birthday recently!
I’ve fallen super behind on my comic output goals this year so I’m cranking it up to HIGH SPEED. That means you should come back Thursday as I’ll be posting 2 comics a week as much as I can!
Also, check out that Tummy Hole tee-shirt link to the right! There’s very limited stock in some of the Life is Pain tees, so if you’re interested you need to act fast.
This comic, too, is based on the two ideas revealed in an Elimination episode of Strip Search. The two topics pulled out of the basket were ‘mermaids’ and ‘ukulele.’
I can’t say that I did this in less than 90 minutes though. It took me about an hour just to work through one idea that I couldn’t convey on the page.
I’m much happier with this second idea.
Speaking of ukuleles, check out this other comic featuring that versatile instrument
A good sign you’re doing it right: if someone wakes up another person by laughing at your comics:
@stewped I woke Alison up laughing at that.
